The Cardano blockchain community - has for the past year worked together to produce a first-of-its-kind Constitution. The Convention, taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Nairobi, Kenya, in December 2024 is critical for arriving at a final Constitution that the community itself can endorse and ratify.
The entire community - from the developers, to those sitting on committees, to ada holders and those invested in the future of the Cardano blockchain - has engaged in a huge-scale, global consultation process that saw 65 workshops take place in 52 countries, involving a staggering 1400+ people have their say on a draft Constitution that, once finalized and with the consent of the community, will be enacted on-chain.
The Constitutional Convention - itself spanning two continents - marks the culmination of this consultation process, bringing together elected delegates representing their workshops, with other community members and key stakeholders to celebrate the commitment of the entire community to producing a Constitution for the Cardano community, by the Cardano community.
